lol I actually don't really have a problem with most of what Oilers is saying. He's stirring the pot and I find it quite amusing. I also haven't really taken any of his comments seriously, and since this is the trash talk section, he's not harassing, he's just doing his best to trash talk like crazy, even though his "best" is like a "what could have been" had OJ Simpson tried to play golf instead.

I usually don't put my thoughts or input into matters like these, but with everyone talking about it I thought I would check it out. I read the entire cbox "arguement" and have mixed thoughts. If the Oilers is considered to be out of line, then all three should be considered out of line. All three were throwing insults back and forth and thus are all guilty of the same thing in my opinion. If it was a joke the Oilers made about Leafs or not, he is the only one who truly knows. He is also entitled to his own opinion and able to speak it if the others are able to do it as well. Just because two GMs were threatining to quit because the Oilers was going about his business here is slightly pathetic. I agree with standing up for something, but both became whiny and fell right down to the Oilers level. Again, I believe if the Oilers GM gets a warning and a half, then the Sharks and Panthers should too. I do respect both of those GMs as well, but come one guys, we have all been in leagues together for a long time and seen these guys come and go, you should of just let it be and he probably would of gotten bored and left.
And Cor, where did you come up with that birds comment? lol
And thats all I got to say about that.

Now, I haven't read through the C-box chat... yet, and from my understanding it’s quite the read. I think people here might be missing something here.
I don't agree with Oilers profound way of speaking, or the way he's been carrying on, but he does bring up a point.
I'm sure I'm not going to win any popularity points with agreeing with him about this... but i can see why he's upset
The PR does state that the Oilers DID NOT break any rules! But he still got penalized because; someone (another gm) who he respects threatened to leave the site.
Now this is where I have issues.
Ultimatums aren't cool, but to reward one, and bend the rules to please another gm isn't showing much face.
PR's position is supposed to be one that we all can trust, he negotiates contracts and trades, and we're supposed to accept him as being a non-bias, third party.
But if he's now showing that he'll bend the rules because someone threatened to leave the site, how can we continue to trust his word. Now this is an extreme example but hopefully it will help drive my point home.
If the PR is going to punish other gms, because of threats to leave, what is there to prevent him accepting a low ball trade or free agents offer, if the gm is threatening to walk away from the site if he doesn't get his own way
Again that was extreme example, but my take from the actions of last night (and again i haven't read the c-box, only this thread.) is that The PR made a wrong call, and has now created a shadows of doubt. Which was once supposed to be a non-bias third party, has now shown favoritism towards other gms, as well as the willingness to cave toward threats.

Ok, so it took me half a millennium but I've now read everything relating to this I can find.
As far as I understand it: Oilers said Leafs should sim instead of taking care of his pets. People went fucking nuts like Leafs can't say 'shut the fuck up all by himself' (I happen to know he can- if you doubt his ability to say fuck or something please check out the car screen in "The Crippled Irishman").
I don't see how anything posted was more or less than what I would expect, yes insults were poorly thrown on both sides- but who cares?
There were no 'gays are stupid or bad' so I don't think anyone should be penalized for being stupid.
There was no insult to the site, although PR took a bashing, he's a big boy and can handle it.
No strikes should be or should've been leveled, but then who really cares? if you don't have 3 you're fine and I can't see why it matters.

The fact that Oilers almost got two GMs too quit in a matter of minutes is quite amusing to me. But after reading the whole fight or whatever you want to call it, I have to agree with points from both sides of the argument, Leafs is 100% not in this for money, and even if he makes money off this stuff, good for him. On my old site, I changed all the ads to help him out, who cares if the guy gets money from it? It's not like you're giving him money or losing your own profit. Another thing is, the fact that Oilers got a warning, which really doesn't mean anything anyways, because Florida and Sharks said they'd quit isn't really fair. That's kinda like suspending the kid that won the fight in middleschool because he threw the most punches. If ya know what I'm saying.
Sharks Panthers, you two are better then this, you shouldn't think you're all high and mighty, threating to leave a site that you've been part of as you claimed for so long because someone new is in a fight with you is extremely disrespectful to your so called friend for years Mike.

who really cares that Oilers got a warning? They don't stay on your account for long, and unless Oilers is planning to ask like a jackass over the next month and accumulate 2 more warnings this one wont affect him and he (and everyone else) that is over-reacting should just get over it. And if he does plan to act like a jackass, I say boot him out now.

It wasn't at all about me and Flordia quitting, the reason he got a warning is because he bashed the members (YOU GUYS) of this league, which is also the only reason I entered this argument. FLA took issue with the sims thing, and I took issue with the whole, everyone here has to pay people to be there friends and need to pay whores to have sex.
I have no regrets, and if the league wants me to have a warning, then give me a warning.
