I think it has to be a place that can win..
1- Tampa Bay (wife's from FLA; teams decent) 2- New Jersey.. Regardless of Brodeur, he can successfully step in for one of the best ever 3- Detroit.. Does anything to win, Howard IMO is good but still a question mark.. They'll have money to spend regardless of the Lidstrom situation
I hope not the Leafs either - I'd be forced to hate him.

The two teams that we know he will go to is Toronto and Tampa....
We'll see if Brian Burke wants to fill our biggest need with an all-star.

The thing we all know hurts Luongo's value is his lack of playoff "step-up-ness". That's where this whole Luongo thing gets REALLY interesting for me. If Toronto grabs Luongo, Burke is back-peddling on his whole "We don't just want to make the playoffs, we want to go deep" statement. Luongo will almost certainly get them to the playoffs...but he won't be taking them very deep.

Hardly back peddling when you get a goalie who led Canada to the Olympic gold

even if the statement about Luongo not being able to go deep in the playoffs is true (game 7 Stanley Cup final appearance), I have no problem going into the playoffs with Reimer backing Luongo. His contract may make him cheap enough to trade for that we could trade assets for a no.1 center, if one were made available, without hurting our team or prospects.

If Luongo cracks under pressure in Vancouver with a good team in front of him, he will for sure crack in Toronto lol. He is smarter to go somewhere quieter and not in the spotlight as Toronto is.

Dan - Hank - Burrows Booth - Kesler - Higgins Raymond - Lecavalier - Kassian
how's that for secondary scoring? If that doesn't win them the cup, then nothing will

will not be Chicago, no chance in hell the GM makes that move, lol. It has to be someone in the East.
I believe Luongo will pick one of the Florida teams for sure but if Luongo already gave his official list to Vancouver and if Toronto is on it then it is just about who is willing to pay more for his services.

He doesn't crack under pressure... Getting to Game 7 of the final isn't cracking under pressure. This year he played 2 games... Both without Daniel and the whole team looked lost.
He led our team to the gold medal in 2012, after Marty Brodeur wasn't playing well. He took the pressure of the whole country, not just BC and played great and won gold.
I hate Luongo, but he's an all-star goalie for a reason. It's getting ridiculous now.
I'll gladly take him in Toronto... Heck, I'll lie down in puddles so he doesn't step in them
