I am sure many of you know this, as sim sites have been operating off proboards for like 5 years or more now, but in case you didn't, here's a reminder.
You can make it so when you load a proboards site, you get a notification if you have PMs. This is what I do, and why I never need to be told to check PMs. As soon as ManNHL loads, I get an in-site pop-up showing me I have a new PM. It's a great feature.
Go to your inbox, then go to preferences. Then under "Would you like an alert box to notify you when a new Personal Message has arrived?" select Yes.
Done and done.
