Bottom line is you expect too much. That's it. If you don't think NHL 13 is different at all (even if its just a demo) then that's cool, you may want to check if you accidentally downloaded the NHL 12 demo though...
NHL 13 is worth the money, you say you bought 2K games (i remember you saying that), and besides from their simming engine (which EA is now better then IMO) they charged the same amount and were complete garbage.
So.... that's that. The only argument you seem to have is "they could do much more" and "nothing they do is HUGE, like adding the KHL" and "They re-use codes... would you buy a book if they re-used chapters?" oh and "all they did is allowed you to skate backwards". Your main suggestion.... "don't make a yearly game".
You don't seem to understand time restraints, money, planning, or what they are allowed to do, and that's the problem.

The price for NHL 11 is about 35 bucks with taxes at EB games. Oblivian "Game of the Year" edition is 22 with taxes. so.... Oblivion came out 7 years ago. When I bought it in 08 it was 40 bucks. NHL 09 right now is worth like 5 dollars if you try buying it

website charges based on number of copies they have available at their warehouse as well as age of game, condition (new or used), and whatnot. You'll notice that the used games that are no longer in stock are worth $0.99. Don't you think it is weird that the prices would be $23 apart? It sure as hell isn't worth 24 bucks. It is likely marked that automatically since they do not have that many copies left available (after 3 years they shouldn't). So that $5 price tag is far more accurate than your $24 one.

Its rated lower because it's pre-used.
They don't ship pre-used games online.

They do ship used games online, as I have purchased used games from EBs website before. And how many people do you think are paying 24.99 for a "NEW" copy of NHL 09. The used price is more reflective of market value. The new price is them just trying not to lose money on previously purchased stock. @sharks, you ignored this question: Do you feel this strongly that EVERY EA NHL game has been drastically different and thus every NHL game worth $60 every single year (since about 1999 - before that they were almost $100)?

And nothing is better reflective of the value of games than looking at the trade in value of those games, rather than the re-sell prices. Check the NHLs here. (I did PS3 cause its what I have as my default search) www.tivs.ca/sort/ebtiv/descending/NHL 10 (75 cents) is worth less than NHL 2K8 ($1).

The only one that was "meh" for me was NHL 10 to NHL 11. Even then it was still ight. I just don't complain about pointless shit. I'm not going to bitch about something I have no control over.

So much so that I have not bought a new EA product (or their online pass crap) in years, and will continue to avoid them.

Really? I thought the GM Connected would be a huge new thing. How is GM Connected? Like if you wanna sim an entire season, and other's don't want to, what happens? Do you have to play or sim one game a day or what?
