Alright, so the lockout is basically a given at this point, but if there wasn't a lockout, which team do you think would have competed for a cup this year? Who would be your final two? Would there be a comeback team or a breakout player? Let's chat about the season that likely won't exist and see if we can agree on the possibilities of sports news we may have heard of.
Secondly, we are about to launch season 8 in ManNHL, which team do you think will win the cup? Do the Blues and Caps have what it takes to get to the finals again? Will the Leafs suck dick again?

there's no way they're having a 1 year league lockout. The players wouldn't mind a 50 percent split it seems it's just that the owner's are bargaining for every % and they should, because imo player's should only care about their pay cheques and not get any revenue from the profit that the NHL makes. All that belongs to the owners not the players! The players don't take the risk to purchase the team and they don't help out with deficits either!

Comeback player of the year I think will be Ilya Bryzgalov. He was under a TON of scrutiny last year and had a terrible season.. The Flyers are a year older; a year wiser. They had plenty of time to adapt to Ilya's style and he had the time to learn and adapt to their system. He had an off year, but his talent didnt leave when he left Phoenix. I think he'll thrive with the newer Ds in Philly, like Schenn and Grossmann, two very defensive-minded guys.

Mike Smith pretty much proved that just about any goalie can thrive in Phoenix. Bryz will improve though for sure because last season was terrible. He had like two good months playing real solid but the rest of the time his team kept him in rather than his performance. I think the 24/7 HBO thing kinda made him lose some concentration and became a distraction because right after it was done, he went on fire. But I still doubt he can replicate his performance with the Yotes in Philly since he crumbled under pressure in the playoffs.
