Jones is nothing, Oleksiak's rights and Reinhart brings this team some solid D, another goaltender and a decent defensive prospect.

Not a steal. Santini was near point per game in minors, Oleksiak hasn't done much down there, Reinhart is a loss, but will be recovered through the addition of Petry and Chorney, and Giguere becomes their backup goaltender. I think this improves Ottawa as Oleksiak is just his rights and who cares about Jones.

I would have agreed with Cor until you mentioned Santini was playing so well. Because of that the deal is pretty close, Edmonton still wins IMO but I'm likely being name bias especially considering I see Jones as nothing. lol

Since this was surrogate-negotiated, I would like more GMs input.
How strongly do people actually weigh minor league numbers? When doing contracts, I don't weigh them heavily at all.
Please KEEP THE FEEDBACK ON THIS TRADE COMING.

Exactly, if the league feels it isn't appropriate (I think it is or is at least close enough) there can be a request that a team must add or subtract from the trade in any surrogate trade.

Chorney waives, thats a non-issue right now. So issue comes down to do you think this trade is FAIR. If one side wins by a sliver, not a huge deal. But if you think it's the type of deal that diminishes Ottawa, post.
I have not looked at stats or salary cap, but on paper, name-wise, this looks pretty solid for Ottawa, especially in terms of keeping the name-ish guys on the team for a future GM. Just my 2 cents.

To show how I think this trade is even, in which Sens absorbs cap to get BETTER PLAYERS:
To Edmonton: Jones - 26pts, 75gp in Juniors Reinhart - 18pts, -17 in 62gp in pros Oleksiak - did not play at all last season, season 3: 1 point in 52gp in pros.
To Ottawa: Chorney - 71gp 54pts in Juiors, 9pts in 15gp in pros Petry - 65gp 14pts in juniors, 11pts in 14gp in pros Santini - 23gp 19pts +12 in juniors Giguere - .871sv% in 28gp pros

I doubt they will reach those numbers but the chance alone makes this a great deal for Ottawa. But because they are in my division I reject! lol jk. ;D

it's a fair deal. Thew only reason people might not like it is because Reinhart is a well known prospect projected to be an all-star but in this league the stats are what matter the most
