The news of Adam Deadmarsh signing a contract for the 2008-2009 season surprised many (except me, of course) but that may not be the end of this. Names such as Brian Leetch, Zigmund Palffy, Jason Allison, Eric Lindros and Wendel Clark have been asked if they were interested in returning to the NHL. Chances are Brian Leetch would ONLY welcome a return to the Rangers, and even at that, the chances are slim. Wendel Clark seems to be a long shot as well, though don't count out the rest. They feel like they can still make an impact for a full season.
Chances are:
Leetch will stay Retired (e4)
Clark will stay Retired (e3)
Palffy will make a comeback (e3)
Jason Allison and Eric Lindros have interest in returning, though due to their past are not sure if they can. They are listed as an (E2.5, meaning there is a 50/50 chance of either to comeback... brilliant ehh?)

The Atlanta Thrashers may have some goaltending contraversy. It seems that one goalie is unsatisfied with his playing time and may want out if the current situation is not fixed soon. (e2).

Alexei Yashin has been demoted to the 4th line by Buffalo head coach Lindy Rupp. Yashin can't be too happy and a trade request is imminent. (e4).

New information has been released to the magnifcient Eklund.

The Washington Capitals are looking for another centre... Could they have interest in Yashin or impending UFA's? A deal COULD be in place at this time, but unofficial. It is listed as an (e2). They are also looking for a 2nd line winger, possibly to help Backstrom out in his rookie campaign.

The Pittsburgh Penguins are shopping top prospect defencemen Kristopher Letang. The Quebec native might be packaged with draft picks in order for a top player. No names have been released as of yet. Stay tuned, more news may be coming abrumptly.
