TRADE FREEZE/PRE-SEASON

Here's the lowdown folks. During this year's pre-season, we're going to do something a little bit different. Essentially, you're all going to get a damn good look at how your team does. You're going to see up to 7 games each, and after that period of time, players are going to get boosted as follows:

Sophomores (The guy's we created when the league started) - Every single sophomore has already been upgrade for this season, and that was the last time (3rd time) they will improve.

First Year Draft - None of these player's will ever upgrade because of the pick-stacking method we used.

2nd Year Draft (Tavares Draft) - All of these player's will grow for the next 3 seasons 2 Stat points per season, then finished. Tavares and Hedman will be an 89 max.

Every player who was exactly 27 or under when the game FIRST began will be boosted by 1 to 4 stat points based on productivity/awesomeness. Guys like Ovechkin, Crosby, Malkin should not be less than Erik Johnson and Jonathan Toews, etc. They will improve as well.

So once pre-season is completed, that is what is going to happen. That said, we now have a complete trade freeze for the next 2 weeks to prepare for this.

I hope this satisfies you all for the long wait, and you may still make trade offers with people, and hell, even submit them to pending trades, but they will be locked and untouched for 2 weeks. Do not make trades involving players you already have in a locked trade. If you do, both trades involving that player will be canceled.

I agree. players should be able to decrease as well. there is no point in these arbitrary increases that so far seem to have nothing to do with performance, and more to do with the fact that they are rookies. As such, if Crosby scores 10 goals with 12 assists, he should go down. It just makes sense.

if you want to do it you have to be careful not to let it out of control, as GMs we have no control of a player's development will not be happy if our best player drops 5 overall points. Just something to take into account.

After this season, we will once again review all ratings of players and go from there on which players should decrease.

A Commitee should be formed, headed by Leafs and PR, that dicuss ratings increases/decreases.

anything to do with ratings like that cannot include the GMs, there will be large biases there. if PR and leafs together decide on something like that then fine.

well if leafs was gonna be biased at all then this site wouldn't be as popular as it is now, and lets face it there are gonna be massive debates of "why does his player go up that much and not mine". whatever leafs and pr decide I'll be fine with though.
