1-Calgary Flames- Without a doubt the top team, scoring coming from all 4 lines. Much better then last year.
2-Philadelphia Flyers-Maybe the best 1st line in the league with Drury-Cheechoo-Kovalchuk, expect a finals appearence.
3-Buffalo Sabers- Led by the Heatley-Connolly duo and Lundqvuist they are one of the power houses in the league
4-St Louis Blues- Good team with lots of depth and a great goalie in Nabokov but can Jokinen and Ryder pick it up?
5-Edmonton Oilers-Even though the GM has a brain tumor he has improved the team with Richards and Gomez current 5th in the west.
6-Colorado Avalanch-Great core of old players who can get it done and young players like Kesler and Fleury...possible Finals?
7-Atlanta Thrashers-Great young team lead by superstars Levaclier, Wilson and Pietrangelo. Look for them to have strong finish
8-Washington Capitals- Ovechkin-Datsuyk can they get it done in the playoffs?
9-LA Kings- Great depth upfront but defence must play much better for them to contend.
10-Nashville Predators- Hossa has been playing like a beast but for how long can he keep this up..Gritty hard nose team to play against
11-NY Islanders-Dipietro has to be a Mvp candidate he is having a heck of a year.. great depth here with no standout on defence or at forward.
12-Ottawa Senators- Are they to European? Gaborick and ALLFY must pick it up. The GM and the owner arent on the same page look for the GM to go.
13-New Jersey Devils- Rookie Hodgson's is having a heck of a year with Brodeur solid in net look for another playoff appearend.
14-San Jose Sharks- What is going on here..barely hanging on to a playoff spot and they have 2 superstars who could be the 2 best players on the planet with Crosby and Malkin.
15-Dallas Stars-GM is gone AWOL
16-Vancouver Canucks- Had a heck of a year with sub-par goaltending... look for changes in the offseason.
17-Boston Bruins-Vanek and Bergeron are looking good together, but need the other lines to produce
18-Detroit Red Wings- Sundin has to pick it up for them to get to the 8th spot in the west.
19-Columbus Blue Jackets- A one line team need to get secondary scoring.
20-Chicago Blackhawks- Thorton and Zetterberg arent showing any heart, could this be both of there last years in the windy city?
21-Toronto MapleLeafs- Not enough leadership look for them to make a serious run in the next couple of years with there young guns like Toews, Schenn Gagner and Phaneuf.
22-Pittsburgh Penguins- Stamkos can he be labeled a bust yet?
23-Tampa Bay Lighting- Playing pretty good with the caliber players they got but they gotta get scoring.
24-Carolina Hurricanes- They need a top notch winger to play with Eric Staal. All but done
25-Montreal Canadians- The circus that is Montreal...Jagr is gone so are there playoff hopes.
26-Minnesota Wild- Fun exciting team to watch but horrible in there own end.
27-New York Rangers- Need to get some chemistry.
28-Phoenix Coyotes- Have all but gave up to get BOTH Tavares and Hedman.
29-Florida Panthers- They have gotten better from the shitty start they had.
30-Anaheim Ducks- So much talent gone to waste...Sedins, Filitov, Luongo....
