K, I am stopping cause you BOTH know FUCK ALL about hockey, Gretzky or anything at all! Gretzky is WIDELY know for parking himself behind the net and waiting for guys to get in just the right spot...if you don;t know this, I say we ban you on fucking principle. You can;t say a god damn thing about Crosby compared to Gretzky unless you know something about either. And clearly you don't. So we're done, and you lose, as a result of complete and utter ignorance. Ahah, ok there you probaly have not even played in a compevitive ice hockey league in your life and think you know everythink lol, and yes you cannot fuking compare gretzky and crosby because the nhl is way different today then 20 years ago

dude, your 16 (in numeric terms, not in maturity, obviously). I've played competitive hockey for pretty close to as long as you've been alive...

PR, I'll get back to you on this debate. Right now the only thing I can say is critique your main argument from your first post.
"Right now, Crosby and Malkin SHOULD BE producing the points Gretzky-Kurri etc, produced IF they are the next anything. "
And this I don't believe is the case because we are in a totally different game. Crosby and Malkin are both atop of the points list (and yes Crosby would have been last season had he not been hurt) just like those two were in their era.

...Pretty much the best team ever assembled...perhaps in any sport...but I don't think that's the point you were trying to make... And it also doesn't make my arguments less valid since, as I said, Gretzky still had about 80 more points than any of his team mates.

Gretzky owns all. Ever. Crosby is talented though, and I believe ultimately will live up to the hype and lead Pittsburgh to a Stanley Cup.
BUT, Ovechkin > Crosby. Think of all the players Sid has played with in his career, then look at the same for Ovechkin.

I play goalie maaan I know what good passes are.
Crosby's passes are better than good thaty're exctiting.
he lands on his bum and still maanages to pass thats flippen amazing yoh
he has soo many awesome passes. Crosby makes people around him better and Ovechkin DOES NOT.
ovie might be better as an individual player but I'd have crosby over ovie anyday because crosby is a better team player.
crosby can never be a gretzky but he is living up to his hype no doubt bout that.
Or else people wouldnt come to watch the Pens and LOADS of people watch the Pens.
Malkin and Crosby are gonna leading Pens to another cup theres no denying it. They almost did it last year and they are like what 19-21 years old? They had awwesome players last year but those players were feeding off of crosby and malkin. Not only that but Ovie doesnt have the leadership skills that Crosby has.
I rest my case.

I play goalie maaan I know what good passes are. I didn;t know being goalies mad us know knowledgable about hockey. In which case I've probably won a lot more arguments on here than I thought. Just by default. Cause I am a goalie. Long Live Goaltenders!

Ovie doesn't have leadership skills? Did you actually just say that? well he doesnt excel as well as a leader to how much Crosby does and that is the truth there's no denying it. You will see Crosby talk waay more to his teammates than Ovechkin. Crosby might wine a bit but lets all face it even Wayne Gretzky wined when he was young. I go play hockey every other day and as a goalie I can tell good passes from bad ones because goalies watch the dman passes all the time especially when the passes are near the net the goalies need to pay extra attention. And trust me goaltenders get more scared of good passes than good shots because when you have a guy getting the far post and the player passes to the player on the far post it is extremly hard to make a save especially when the puck is being roofed. Sprawling saves are hard to come by and goalies can save hard shots without much difficulty but passes are just downright difficult to keep track off because you cant be too sure on whether the player will pass or shoot.

Okay, I don;t say this often, but dude. You are fucking dumb. I JUST FUCKING TOLD YOU I AM A GOALIE ALSO. YOU DO NOT NEED TO EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT IT IS LIKE...fuck man.... I also goalie-coached for a season...sooo...yeah...I know the ropes, brother. And I disagree with you on a lot of that crap you just spewed out. I think you find hard shots "not that difficult" cause you haven't faced an 80+ mile-an-hour one yet, and I think you have trouble with passing because of possible positioning problems, or even issues with anticipation. I don't disagree with you about passing in general, but its not "passing" that is the problem, its a number of BRILLIANT passers on an odd-man rush. Them's the fellers that can make you look TERRIBLE. Also of note, I think I've only been "scared" of about 2 players in my career...and those guys should have been playing a league or two up - and ironically, they were not passers. They were break-away specialists. Amazing stick-handling.

Crosby = Whining little bitch. Enough skill to get by. Ovechkin = Probably the best in the NHL right now. Has more than enough skill to be a major force in the NHL.
Semin, Ovechkin, Toews and Kane together would be intense. They've all there offensive "magic skills".
EDIT: Tampa - Crosby can land on his ass, and make the pass. Ovechkin can land on his, and still score...

we should save up for a year, and we should all meet somewhere and play hockey. The first annual, ManNHL Ice hockey exhibition game. That would be kinda cool
