Rumour has it CBC funding is first on the chopping block. You thought it was bad when we wouldn't put out the money to get the Hockey Night in Canada theme? Wait until we can't even afford to show Hockey period. Yay cutting back on arts, culture, and sports. Also, I am loosely open to Harper's majority, but I am pretty sure most of you will be eating your words in 3-4 years when our country is in further recession/chaos/cultural void. PLEASE prove me wrong, Harper. PLEASE! You are my Prime Minister too, and this is the only thing I ask of you!

we would only have gone into a further recession if Liberals or NDP had managed to get in. The idea that they could fund there ventures on the backs and taxes of corporations would have pushed more and more companies out of this country. I am happy now that more corporations can feel safe to keep there business in our country. I look forward to 4 years of having an actually running goverment instead of the hand feed minorities we have been going through for what seems like forever in this country.. For the first time in a long time and look forward to our Political Future. Especially with the Block pretty much gone.

Harper cuts CBC cause CBC news and media is not afraid to be critical of him or any politician. Funny how that works, is it not?

It's really doesn't matter what CBC or Yahoo and any of the others that routinely attached him. Just one word MAJORITY. Man that is lovely. The goverment should not be funding a money making TV station anyway. It is a business and if it can't sustain itself it obviouysly doesn't belong. I guess all ther biased hockey games don't make enough money after all.

With games on CBC it means I do not have to pay Rogers or Bell to watch hockey. I can get it free on CBC. I would prefer to have a small portion of tax money fund our heritage so we don't become a cultureless abscess. I am sure if he could, Harper would also re-write history books and claim HE was the one who fought the British in a Canadian Revolution. Canada Day would become Stephen Harper Week.
As I said, I am open to this big time, now that he has no excuses for not improving the country. I am an open-minded person and I am well aware of the fact that he OBVIOUSLY wants what is best for the country. I just BELIEVE that it is opposite of what I (and most other thinking people) want. But THAT is exactly why I hope to be proven wrong. I don't KNOW any of this, I just suspect it. Now, its his job to prove my ass wrong.

Good call PR. I'm actually kind of interested to see what will happen when a government finally has control. No more "we're calling for an election" every time someone disagrees about a fart. I want to see something happen for once. Like Cake Day. Make it happen!

It has been a long time since Canada has had an actual running goverment with all these minorities. Will be nice to the see the PM actually be able to run the country with his party in charge. No more guessing, no more kissing somebodies ass to get things done. If he screws up here, he will be the one help responsible. After the Liberals and NDP wasted so much money forcing this election, looks good on Liberals. Now Iggy can go back to Harvard and pick up his American pay check. No more from Canada buddy. Thank God the yankee will be gone.

But I've travelled to Cuba plenty of times (5-6 times?) and I did a large research paper on their economic history.
