Also, with you now coaching the Canucks, this is a conflict of interest trade in which you're weaking the Flames team so the team you coach (divisional rival Canucks) have an easier time winning.

I know I'm not supposed to post this, and PR will give me a warning for this (which I should, as I"m breaking the rules)
JM, this makes my brain hurt (like Leafs) You get 5 guys who are overpaid, 3 of them could retire any time now, you give up a perennial all-star in Malkin and a good 2nd or 3rd line player in Higgens. It just seems like you are giving up and you just want to make the team worse.
I have all the respect in the world for you JM, but its just been suprising for me to see you do the things you have done.
None-the-less it's your decision, I just hope you don't make Calgary a bottom feeder and then leave, it just, this isn't the JMCook the great simmer, the great GM, this isn't the GM that are always contenders on EA, and if I can remember correctly on ProNHL as well.
I just hope maybe you will realize that you can easliy turn this team into a contender, 1) because you are JMCook and 2) You don't have a bad team, Malkin, Nieds, Boyle, your so close, and to trade Malkin just doesn't make sense to me.

I got shutout by Edmonton. obviously my lines don't work. So lets get some depth then and see what happens. When Malkin can't put up a point on the first line, obviously he can't play in Calgary.

So your going to trade away your best player for scraps because Malkin didn't get a point in ONE game. This is fucking rediculous. I believe the thing we should be concerned with is does calgary have the cap space for this move. if not then he'll be waiving half of those players and the deal will truly be horrible. |
