"I wouldn't call it that," said one source. "But let's just say it's the final piece to their eventual puzzle."
That's what has been making the rounds in the rumour world today. Toronto is on the verge of another significant trade, and though they were public about their interest in Brendan Morrow, it's likely they are after high-end right winger, while several reports suggest Martin St. Louis, Zach Parise, and to a lesser extend Blake Geoffrion.
The Leafs have also been after a depth defenceman while the Columbus Blue Jackets have been actively shopping one of John Moore and Sami Lepisto.
But signs point to Ian White returning to the blue and white.
Also, the Lightning are gaining significant interest on the mentioned St. Louis with teams such as the Los Angeles Kings, New Jersey Devils and Calgary Flames all interested, the Flames are looking for a replacement for Iginla and returning St. Louis could be a great option.
Also, the Bruins are eyeing more pieces after snagging a first round pick and they could have another deal done as soon as later tonight.
