Two quick rumor updates for you all.
#1 Detroit Red Wings GM "oldbruins" (huh) is reportedly being investigated by the MANNHL officials. The investigation is for the Red Wings GM knowingly was over the cap for a good chunk of the season. An official announcement on the result of the hearings and punishments are expected to come within the next 24 hours.
My Detroit source said this: "Oldbruins is not only in trouble with the league, but with Wings ownership, he could get the boot, for ultimately putting a scar on the Wings history."
#2 Told from a source in the Toronto organization that Ryan Smyth could be headed back to where his career started... Edmonton. Rumored names include: Nikita Filatov, Shawn Horcoff, Tom Gilbert and Brayden Schenn.
