[Toronto Maple Leafs]

Detroit has brought it to my attention I was over the cap for a duration of time and deserve to be punished.

When?

Following my trade with the Kings in which I acquired Ryan Smyth and Sami Lepisto.

How Much?

20K

Trade with Kings:

Ryan Smyth waived on the 3rd.
Trade Processed on the 5th in the game.

Leafs Trade with Panthers:

June 7th - Completed at 8:45PM EST.

Leafs go under the cap by 300k.
Trade Processed that day. I remember, because I did it.

During this time-frame, I put Keith Aulie in the minors (sat him out). Effectively keeping myself cap compliant for the duration of the two days I was "over" the cap with Lepisto in the line-up.

During this time, Buffalo, our new cap mod, was also informed of my situation.

So we need sims posted between the 5th and the 7th.

Conclusion:

As I said, Keith Aulie was sat out for the duration of this time-frame (trade being processed to simming and trade with Panthers) which puts me under the cap the entire time. Sabres were also notified of the situation at the time.

I followed the rules from start to finish.
