- This is a sample of how Arbitration will be posted. At least at first. If there are any issues, we can iron them out as we progress. The 3 team names in the subject line will be those on that players jury.
Player: Wayne Gretzky
Arbitrators: Ducks, Predators, Hawks
Player Rep:
Proposed Salary: 10M
Reasoning: has 50 goals/season. (and lots more reasons)
Oilers:
Proposed Salary: 2M
Gretzky injured his back in the off-season and is 65 years old. (and more real reasons)
And then in the thread, the 3 members of the arbitration committee selected to hear this players case talk and decide in the thread (for now). Once a generally unanimous decision is reached (ideally no more than 24-48 hours after original post - that's why we selected active members for the committee), the case is closed, and the new, 1 year contract is posted.
REMINDER - this is really important. ONLY the 3 guys selected for the hearing may comment. NO OTHER ARBITRATOR MAY COMMENT UNTIL THE POST IS MOVED TO THE GENERAL BOARDS!!!
