New Release from Colorado:
Mr Sakic thanks the League Management Team for being recognized as a candidate for the Adams Trophy. "Mr. Spitfire appreciates my work ethic and I was lucky enough to have a great group of players who bought into my system," commented Sakic. "With the moves Spitfire has done in the off season including acquiring Jason Pominville, Justin Williams, Guillame Latendresse and Nick Schultz, watch for the Avalanche to be even higher in the standings next season," added Sakic. "I'm sure Spitfire has a few more moves up his sleeve and I can't wait to see our final starting lineup when the puck drops in October. Again though, I am humbled by making it onto the ballot for the Adams....thank you so much."

Nothing about Sakic at all. Just pure Spitfire stroke-job.

Guessing Todd McLellan was forgotten as well.. Leading a team to the finals where NOBODY (including PR - said so himself in a PM long time ago in some negotiation) thought we'd be. Pfft.

Talking about snubs... what about Gretzky??? he led my team to the Oilers..... we have Gustavsson in net and Horcoff on our top line, and has anybody seen my defence?

I agree with everyone. And I say Mario had no reason to be on this list. ANYBODY could lead that team to success.

And hes excited about coaching an even better team next season. On a side note, knee pads were not negotiated into his contract.
