As mentioned before, I was TRYING to get under the cap ever since i was notified...
So its not like i didnt care about it...
I knew i had to do something quick, but it was hard seeing that the teams that were willing to trade were right up the cap also.
So, i had put aside a "Plan B" if you will, to waive draper at any time, and to send him to the minors to be called back up when need be...
In regards to villainy... PR is weak.
This discussions is getting WAY too messy. Lets simplify things...
I have said i will take my punishment, because it be honest, i DID KNOW i was over the cap (but i wasnt looking to wreck the league)
How about an ALTERNATIVE punishment (that will probably satsify by "money fraud" per say): If i do manage to win the cup, I will not take the money, but instead invest it into next year's sum. A grand total of 50 bucks for the second year winner...

A lot of people won't take the money anyway, so it's not a punishment. This whole Plan B crap, just shows you were trying to last as long as you could without being caught IMO. If you knew it was as easy as waiving Draper, you should have done it, especially after you knew that you weren't able to get under the cap. |

not taking a shot at leafs or PR but If you guys checked the rosters like you should of cap wouldn't be a issue in this. SInce we have 100 other administrative issues to deal with, we "hired" an auditor and he has been doing the job. He has been behind the scenes notifying people of issues, and reporting problems to me, which we have been working out. One very public error arises and people made a big stink about it, but fact is, Buffalo is your Auditor, and he is responsible for LETTING US KNOW WHEN YOU ARE OVER CAP. It is YOUR JOB to know when YOU are over cap. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN TEAM'S CAP. Digression, but are we clear on that now? |

Leafs I'm not afraid of stepping on there toes I just don't feel like getting into debate after debate. Which shows I'm actually maturing from a child into an adult .. But I do have a Lot of kid in me. The only persons/signing I've defended are Flames and Florida with the Belfour signing. The flames one I did out of respect even though I barely know cook . Belfour signing was pretty retarded... guys were acting like they were spending 5 mill on belf.

This thread is exactly why some people want Detroit gone outright. He stirs up shit that is not funny, interesting, or even remotely worthwhile.
That said, I still think he has a place here and would be disapointed if people voted him out.
Also, just for the record, we haven't verified AT ALL that this even is the real "Old Bruins" who saved the site. Just throwing that out there.
