When doing retirements, I find it really hard to retire a guy for no reason, but I know lots of you people like retiring dead guys "out of respect" - which boggles my mind, but here's the poll to make it official.
READ THE OPTIONS CAREFULLY. I made them hard to skim on purpose so you would READ THEM.
Option 1 - Since there is technically nothing wrong with Derek in ManNHL, we let him play. We don;t sit guys in ManNHL when they are injured in the real NHL, nor do we retire guys when they retire. Why kill them when they die? It seems pointless to me.
Option 2 - Sticking with sim league tradition, and pull him from the line-up. Disallow him to win a Cup, make money, or play out a fantasy NHL career.
Your call gents. I also want to point out people have little problem with deceased players in Legends leagues, so why is this different?
That is all. THANKS FOLKS!

Just a quick comment. I do respect the option of retiring him because he passed but legend leagues bring back dead guys all the time because its fun to remember them and watch what the "might have been able to do" if they still played today. I don't see what the difference is between that or even bringing guys over from the khl that would have never come over in real life. Just a thought.
