A LOT of teams are posting lines and such but aren't paying attention to what position the players actually play. As such, it is easier for me to allow you to select your "top 12" forwards and post at which position you wish them to play.
You MUST have 4C, 4LW and 4RW.
Every team must do this, and these players will NOT be able to change positions during the season (unless traded, in which the acquiring team can select his position to fit their core). This prevents me from having to modify 50 to 60 players prior to each sim because you'd rather him be on a different side.
Everyone's rosters are essentially set. Select where you want your player to be up front and allow your coach to handle the line chemistry.

So, if one of these players get traded (brayden Schenn for example) will he still have to play on the wing or can we then move him to where we want him?
Move them to where you want them, BUT you must post that also in the trade or here.

Woops, accidentally hit modify rather than quote, so I'll just re-post it here so you know that I did, in fact, reply:
Move them to where you want them, BUT you must post that also in the trade or here.

Sorry to be a pain guys but 1 more question. Lets say Ive got my list in (which will be soon) and I end up trading one of the guys not on the list for someone I end up wanting to play. Can I pull one of the guys from the list and replace him with my traded guy?

Sorry to be a pain guys but 1 more question. Lets say Ive got my list in (which will be soon) and I end up trading one of the guys not on the list for someone I end up wanting to play. Can I pull one of the guys from the list and replace him with my traded guy? From what I "think" you're asking, here is my answer. Every team will submit their positional players. Teams that do not, I will likely be doing for them and modifying it on their roster page (as well as the master roster list). Every player will be listed via their position, or players outside of the top 12 will be listed as "F" and if a player get injured/suspended, one of the players outside the top 12 will be inserted into the line-up in whatever position needs to be filled up front. If you put someone as a centerman and you dealt him for a player a rival team listed as a left winger, you have the ability either in the trade thread or re-posting here that the player you acquired you wish to play center, or the player he acquired from you he wants to play left wing or right wing or whatever. So, once the player is listed here in a position and you make a trade you can alter the acquired player's position, or let's say you dealt one of your top 12 for a pick, you can insert a player outside of the top 12 to the position of your choosing, even if it means altering a full line. Essentially, the coach is going to be making ALL line decisions this season, because it seriously took forever for me to process lines when teams would make like one player alter to the depth chart. So, in conclusion: - This is specifically designed so that I don't have to constantly shake up your lines because you may have lost a game in one sim. - This will allow me to manage the 15 to 20 teams that just build solid rosters and see where the pieces fall, while being able to handle the constant line juggling by the other ten without forcing me to do an additional 3 to 4 hours of work in setting up all the lines and game rosters exactly as you wish at 10am and then changing it at 2pm because you lost or didn't win by enough goals. - At any point in which you make a trade/waiver/signing (not extensio) process, you HAVE THE ABILITY to completely re-shape your ENTIRE top 12. - You CANNOT re-shape your top 12 unless a waiver/trade/signing (not extension) was done. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

He was asking about the "other" players. Like if you trade a C for a LW, and instead of making your newly acquired LW a C, he was asking about making one of your OTHER players a C instead. Changing your original team to accommodate the new guy, rather than the new guy to accommodate the missing position.
You answered it with "- At any point in which you make a trade/waiver/signing (not extensio) process, you HAVE THE ABILITY to completely re-shape your ENTIRE top 12."
Figured I would clarify that for everyone, since you are both confusing bastards.

I tend to change my players around the lineup, like McMillan as a RW/C LaRose C/RW Boychuk LW/C
So I can't do this throughout the season to change my lines? You can't put a guy listed as a LW on RW in this game?
