Also, we all know its unheard of for defencemen to play into their 40s, don't we...? I never would have heard the end of it if I let Chelios play into his late 40s...but sometimes reality is stranger than fiction.

Nieds was definitly one that could of. Him retiring so young was just odd. His game seemed so effortless. Everthing was so easy and flowing

yeah it is a shame he didn't play a little longer but retiring on top isn't a bad thing, very few players have that option.
