He never said he would play until he was 42.  Also, I had 100% intentions of retiring him after a brief test of this market, but this offer was too good to pass up. Also, we all know its unheard of for defencemen to play into their 40s, don't we...? I never would have heard the end of it if I let Chelios play into his late 40s...but sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. |

Nieds was definitly one that could of. Him retiring so young was just odd. His game seemed so effortless. Everthing was so easy and flowing

yeah it is a shame he didn't play a little longer but retiring on top isn't a bad thing, very few players have that option.
