This week, ManNHL began their "free to walk" release for pending free agents, and a few placements have caught a few teams by surprise, but above all else, the players were also shocked of their respected, soon to be former, teams refusing to negotiate.
"I don't really get it," said Leafs goaltender J.S. Giguere. "I understand I had an injury filled season, but I was very much hoping I could maintain my place in Toronto. I was fine with splitting time with Reimer, but now that Gustavsson is gone, I don't understand how I lost my spot."
