I must go out into the world and actually do something with my life. Have fun staring at the comp gramps. And Smile man, its a sunny day outside. Maybe you should go do something as well. Have a nice day

wait, how did LA break a rule here? Even if you are trying to say that LA is "wasting time" in the draft by trading for a guy with a clause there was no rule he couldn't do so and I do not see why we couldn't wait an extra hour or 2 to get the trade approved or give the new team who has the pick the extra day to make his selection. Even if you do not like that idea, LA picked the guy San Jose wanted with the selection, thereby moving on in the draft and not doing anything wrong. I must have missed something because you cannot be mad about that. I'm confused.

Same. To me he's making a trade for the prospects rights since the trade he negotiated may not have gone through in time. So the league can continue with the draft while he and sharks deal with their trade on their own terms and time. Oilers up.

For once, I disagree with the majority and agree with the jmcooker.
As the one responsible for NTC waivings and shit, I am not comfortable being responsible for holding up the draft because someone traded a guy with a NTC at the last possible minute, and I don't get on for another 6 hours.
From THIS POST ONWARD, you MUST get your draft pick SELECTED within the 24 hour time. If not, the next person is allowed to pick.
Now...In this case, Cook is entirely right. Sharks was NOT up to draft when he tried to select MacKinnon, so MacKinnon was NOT his to draft. And Kings attempted to draft MacKinnon AFTER his 24 hours had expired. Therefore, technically, MacKinnon SHOULD go to Chicago (who put in a list), and Sharks/LA should now be on the "pick ASAP" list.
Although no rules were broken, this is how our current rules would dictate that this situation plays out.

He was the one attaching me. I was only stating what they needed to do. I told them about it last night so they would make sure it woudn't happen. But it still happened. I don't care if you guys want to bend all the rules here and there, that is up to you. But when they decide to enforce one from time to time you should at least know what the rules are. I was trying to help with a heads up and I get attached for it. No Thanks

I understand, that whole fight was stupid up there, but I can't find how it's bending the rules, at all

If wasn't but it would have been when evreybody was asking for a few more hours and stuff. When the next guy has his pick ready, you have until the 12:00. But apparently people wanted to bend that some. That would have breaking and bending a rule to suit. Kinda the problem right now. Breaking rules as long as the suit.

It could have needed to bent to get your guy to waive his contract. That is what was going on.
