Players who are sent to the minors, who DO NOT have a rookie contract, and are 1.0M and above in salary must pass through waivers.
If he clears waivers, and is then recalled later on, he must pass through re-entry waivers.
If a player is claimed off re-entry waivers, that team must eat half of his contract, which will therefor count against their cap.
If a player is claimed on waivers, or re-entry waivers, there is a 48 hour span in which all other teams may place a claim.
At the end of this time frame, the team with the lowest standing gets the player. As with the NHL, if the waiving is prior to November 1st ( in ManNHL time), the previous season's standings are used.
Standings are based on point percentage, not total points (meaning if 2 teams both have 50 points, but one has played 30 games and the other has played 28, the 30-game team is lowest)
So do not claim the player and add him to your roster, because he may not be yours.
