So, now hopefully my shows can get back on track. Anyways - my random show for this week, will be about one of my favorite Canadian bands - Rush.
Rush, was founded in August of 1968 by guitarist Alex Lifeson, and Geddy Lee, the lead singer. Currently Alex and Geddy are both still going with the band, along with drummer Neil Peart.
Rush didn't release there first album, untill March of 1974, it was a self-titled debut album. After that, they got 2 albums out in '75, Fly by night, and Caress of Steel. In 1976, the band released 2112. In September '77, they released "A Farewell to Kings". On October 28, 1978 the bands 6th studio album "Hemispheres" was released. They then kicked off 1980 by releasing "Permanent Waves". In January of '81... Moving Pictures (an amazing album, BTW) was released. September of '82, brought us Signals. The 10th studio album was "grace under pressure". September of 1987, brought us "Hold Your Fire". In November, 1989 a new album, by the name of "Presto" came to us. September of '91, brought along "Roll The Bones". 1993 was the year of "Counterparts". September of 1996, brought us an amazing album that goes by the name of "Test For Echo". In the new Millennium, Rush has brought us two albums - 2002 was Vapor Trails, and 2007 was Snakes and Arrows, the bands 18th studio album.
Some of the bands biggest hits are:
Working Man
2112
Closer to the heart
Tom Sawyer
Witch Hunt
Vital Signs
Cygnus X1
Fly by night
Passage to Bangkok
Spirit of Radio
Red Barchetta
Limelight
Camera eye
Analog Kid
test for echo
YYZ
Far Cry...
essentially, I could write a list of every rush song...
