As for the film "Quarantine" (No spoiler, don't worry) it is a typical horror movie in terms of the blackended genre. A genre I have named after the likes of the "Blair Witch Project" and "Cloverfield" and others of its kind. For whatever the price, the film is worthwhile seeing if only just to kick your heart into gear not once, not twice, but at least half a dozen times.
The film has everything you need in a horror movie. Suspense, drama and a whole lot of blood. I for one am not completely fond of the ending, but it doesn't change the fact that the movie is worth seeing. Consider you paid 10 dollars to see it (I didn't, I managedto see it on cheap night so it cost me around 4.50) and the 10 dollars was divided into movie percentage. I would have to say, you get roughly $9.50 worth of excellence from the film. The acting is well done, the visual effects are superb, but it does have the "fuck you're an idiot" part to the film at times, though as a whole it flows quite well. And what film that can have little to no sex appeal (oddly) and still hve freaked out zombie things going wild in a first person point of view while people get beaten to death in an amazing fashion (must watch the film to know what I'm talking about here) can really be that bad?
This film, on average, was about a B+ Consider the fact that it is a horror movie and they aren't necessarily supposed to be "good movies" to begin with and you can imagine my expectations were rather low going in. A pleasant surprise (as far as pleasantry can go with broken bones and tearing skin) in my opinion. If you get a chance, go see it. You will laugh and your heart will jump.
Reasons for not receiving A+ status:
1. Inconclusive ending.
2. Typical "shower scene" acting at various parts.
Go check it out!
