Lest we forget

Today is Remembrance Day. Today is the day we stop for a day and remember all those who made us a free country. Heard a great point on the radio today this is what was said:

"When we are 20 our lives are about parties girls and having fun...When they were 20 they were trying to stay alive"

Just that got me thinking have we paid our respects as much as we needed to? the answer is no! we should stop on the 11th day of the 11th hour every month and have a 2 hour moment of silence..Today at my school we had a remembrance day memorial. Any who talked during the 2 minutes of silence were just yelled at after..bth by other kids and Teachers..one of the men there said it best.

"2 minutes is only approx. 0.0004 of your life..and if you compare that to the years that these men and women gave for us it's incredible"

There was also a video that brought a tear to evryone's eye it's called "A Pittance of Time" and i guarentee most of your guys seen it but just in case i want ALL of you to watch this today. Here is the link:

The line that catches my ear is the one that states

"My throat wants to bawl out, my tongue barely resists"

this line specifically statses that even if you want to talk during the 2 minutes DON'T you want to talk but try to resist it's only out of the respect.

Here's a little story.. I live right outside of Base Borden(look it up on your maps lol) So last year i went there for the parade they have there guest speakers everything...they even have vetrans. A kid was laughing at a vetran. Once his mother found out what he was laughing at he got ripped into by his mom. This kid didn't talk the rest of the time. I mean these are the people who gave us their lives...and here on man nhl i would like everyone to take 1 hour starting at 7:00 pm est i would like to see are own moment of silence but a 1 hour one. Just a 1hour thing.,..from 7 to 8 pm no one posts sends a pm or posts in the c-box out of respect.

I like this idea.
Today is a very important day. I have friends who are in the army and who want to use their life to protect us. My friends who do this are very dear to me and I wish them well. I believe in this; and I'm glad you made this suggestion.

Also The Soldiers willingly participated, and it you ask me the whole concentration crap is played out, but you'll never hear the end of it because Jewish people own most major television networks..

My cousin just got back last month, pretty intense stuff. He was the driver in his car, and once they hit a roadside bomb.....he almost died, three other guys in the car did die.
