Somebody should make a microsoft works database of sum sorts.. in the database it should include Players names, overall, status, team ,salary, position etc etc etc.. Then the database should be given to PR so he can keep it up to date with trades and such... Also every GM should also ask for a record of that database.. etc, etc, etc i'd make the database if i had all the resource such as players overalls and such and such! The database would also make the PR's job easier come FA time, as he would be able 2 search on a yearly basis.

Leafs and I are working on something like this, but less in-dept. Once its available, people can add info, and yeah, it will make everyone's life easier. I would also love to see a uniform format for everyone's roster posts. Some are like this: SMITH 97 C 5M (6 years) and others are like this Smith, James (97) C ($5,000,000 UFA 2009-10) and others: James Smith, Center, 97 5 Million and the possibilities go on.
At some point soon, I'll probably request uniform posting of this and when you post trades, you will just copy and paste that format.
EDIT: PR's Recommendation for the uniform format: Smith, James (97) C - 5M (UFA 2010)

I meant I do something different like putting jersey numbers on the roster page which isnt uniform with every1 else. What I'm trying to say is everyone does their roster different and I agree that their needs to be a set format.

I personally like Smith, James (97) C ($5,000,000 UFA 2009-10) Format I CANT STAND brackets around the overalls. I usually write mine out like so, and it's easy and fast to read: Sam Gagner C 87 0.875 (RFA 2010) bada bing bada boom

Flyers and my original are my fav. so far. Methinks Flyers, but without the two year thing...just the year the contract expires (so the last number).

I do it by the SEASON the contract expires, not the year

I do it by the SEASON the contract expires, not the year I did too, but I think we need to change that now to avoid confusion, since people were confused this year.
