Some important notes about contract extensions and negotiations. For newbies, all extension offers are sent through PMs to the Player Rep's inbox.
Information:
AKA What to include
- Player Name and overall
- Status (UFA, Extension, RFA, etc)
- Age
- Current Contract (mainly pay) if there is one
- New contract offer
- Link to last seasons stats page (if there is one - check archive)
- Terms of the deal (NTC, NMC, etc)
- Also, very rarely, write-ups make a difference, If you feel you have a valid reason for offering a person a certain pay (reduced or what have you) and you want to explain it, I will listen.
Format
AKA Requirements of the PM
- Player's name(s) in the subject line
- quote previous PMs (instead of clicking on "reply", click "quote")

AKA Additional Info you should know
- Like UFAs, please remember to retract any offers you no longer wish to offer. This is less applicable with extensions, since they are quicker, but still.
- unless otherwise noted in offers you send, I will always consider money amounts to be a per-year salary. So if I see 5M/3 years, it means 5 mil a year for 3 years.
- - no matter how long we may have negotiated, if you send me a message that says "what if I added .5M to his salary and a 1M signing bonus" I will have no fucking clue what you are talking about, (since, at any given time I am probably negotiating with many other GMs regarding many many players)
