Free live will be coming to Xbox and I never said XBox was more arcade style, I said the Wii was for 2k9.
As for the freezing and shit on Xbox's, it's called the Ring of Death. It's been fixed and only exists in the first year 360's.
As for the PS3 Not having any such issue, haha try again. If you play an original or PS2 game on the PS3's that do not support it (That's right, you have to BUY a SPECIFIC system with MORE hard drive therefore becoming MORE expensive than the fucker already is to have it be compatible with the original games) the system has a good chance of "frying" itself.
Moral of the story:
PS3 - Blu-Ray (Which every system will have, maybe not nintendo, but Xbox will have it next time. And PS3 is starting to move into the whole RPG form of gameplay.
XBox 360 - Co-op and First person shooter dominance. CAN ALSO STORE MUSIC AND PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TOO YA DUMB SHIT. Fuck, even the original X box could do that.
Bottom line is, if you're not sure which way to go, buy both OR abandon them all and go buy an Atari and Pong.

Theres a reason why PS3 has free online, it sucks. The connection stinks (as my friends have told me when they saw what x-box connection is like). Also, Xbox has 99.999% of all the games PS3 does PLUS a whole lot more. Blu ray? Who gives a shit, are you going to pay 35$ a DVD? I won't, a regular dvd player will do me just fine. Plus, I just dont like PS3 controls, but thats just me. I have a 360 (Elite, the black one) and have 0 problems with it. It's a year I have it (I bought it when NHL 08 came out) and it's awesome.

I haven't had a problem with either of my xbox's and the problem i did have with my first xbox was my own fault. i let my little cousins play with the machine and they stuck a rock in the fucker.

I've got about 10 Blu-Rays and haven't paid more than $10 for any one of them. The main company I buy from (Criterion.com, check it out) releases both DVDs and Blu-Ray at the same price. Though I love Nintendo dearly, I was not overly interested in what the Wii had to offer. So if you are not sure what to get, BUY A FUCKING WII!!!
