I can tell you for a FACT you're perceiving this wrong.
Leaf's is the BIGGEST hockey finatic I have EVER seen.
And he has received pm's asking him to make the simming go faster.
this is how he finds a way to satisfy everyone.
and not all trade-inactive gm's are unhappy.
I only made TWO trades. and i'm happy. I wouldn't mind if he made this season go by quickly and then start over for next season.

why do you wnt the season to go quickly? i dont get it? A GMs job is the whole season. If I just wanna watch hockey I will watch it on TSN.

But I do have to say, I do find it to be a little bit ignorant that becaue I threw an idea out for satisfaction purposes that you'll just state flat out you're leaving. It is your decision but you just tell me if I change things you're leaving with no flexibility is pretty ignorant considering the amount of flexibility I've provided to this league throughout. I mean, me and Philly disagree on a lot of things, but does he quit? No, did I ban him for telling me off? Nope, cause I did the same. Tempers flare, life goes on. I even let the former Ducks stick around until I have 6 different gms demand he lose a franchise, but did I whipe both from him? Nope.
So here I sit, being pmed about a different simming solution to hopefully satisfy the majority, and if it doesn't work, move to something else in the future, and instead I get flat out "I'll quits", it sort of speaks volumes as to just how much dedication you have for a site that has out performed at the very least 20 other sites in the same time frame.
I understand your opinion on this, but how can I try to negotiate a solution if you won't budge an inch?

The league was set. You set it. There is no reason to change it. The rules were clear. The format clear.
I did not personally attack you and now you are saying I have no dedication to this league. Not good my friend. I spend sooooo much time on here and my team is in first for it.
I never personally attacked you. I am stating my opinion as well. And now my dedication is questioned. Again I say, not good.
I guess I am in the minority with this. Hope yuor league goes well. The next person to take over for the isles has a rockin team.
Honestly dude, a word of advice. Do not change the rules or format once the season has started. If you want to change it at all, do it in the offseason and give the people a choice as to if they want to continue.
I am sad to leave. I really liked it here.

I never said it is changing. I'm providing options. I've already stated clearly that the site will not be changing this season, but the option is open for NEXT YEAR. I'm telling you, people who have a hard time reading the fine print are those who get everything confused. I posted this 20 minutes ago, and I'm just providing reasoning. Nothing is set in stone, and if you're willing to walk over something that may not even happen, especialy after this season, that's just sad.

And, jsut so you know, he is the largest contributor to my league. Hes no quitter. If anything hes a builder. Our league remains as number 4 hockey site in its 4th season. Why? Not because we are a bunch of quitters. We have experienced the ups and downs of sim leagues and learn from it. I was just trying to pass some of this knowledge your way, and we are called pessimists? Like wtf is that?? |

Noone's attacking anyone, but if you're telling me you're leaving the site just becuase I proposed an option, I think I can call you ignorant cause you're telling me (indirectly or not) that this site will fail because of a proposition that hasn't been approved.

I am a numbers person. I have been told by you, that there are people complaining and want faster sims. (lets say 5 people) I have the creator of the league proposing an alternate. I now hear from another GM here that he really doesnt care either way but is happy with 2 trades (trades keep a league alive by the way  ) which is fine and dandy, but he would like the league to move quick and move to next season. so...numbers...we are at 7 to 2. How many guys just got replaced for inactivity = 5 there 1/2 the league. In a league, about 1/2 the GMS remain silent. So....looks like a landslide to me. Im a realist. Not a pessimist by the way |

And for the record, no, I do not think that leafs is anything but a great creator of a league. I chose this one as one of my few to participate in due to the PA format. It was different.
Have you never heard of "Learn something new every day" buddy? I take knowledge from everything I do. And if I can pass on some from other leagues to keep a good league going I well, i most definitely will. So f you buddy of you think anything other than that. What a goof.
