Olaf Kolzig, dissatisfied with his treatment as of late, has decided to retire from the NHL and move to Europe for alternate competitive hockey. He thanks past Capitals management for the time he spent there.

THIS isnt right in my say.
I say that the trade can be delined, but kolzig cannot retire after he just made that huge contract deal...
thats like saying Sundin would retire from a trade deal, even tho it is a fantasy sim

The trade was finalized before Kolzig was able to talk with Washington beyond a simple request to stay. Washington made it clear they had no interest in him, so he left for Europe.
