In a matter similar to the Eric Lindros situation in Quebec, Dany Heatley almost made his way to St. Louis. The San Jose Sharks almost brought in a significant package of picks and prospects, and the Blues almost found their forward superstart. Almost.
That was until the St. Louis Blues retracted their acceptance during the trade call, late Monday night. After a wave of disapproval from rival general managers essentially mocking the Blues organization for making a trade that would cost them their primary talent in youth, St. Louis general manager, samir99, pulled out from the pending trade and cost himself a draft pick.
"WAIT I THOUGHT THIS DEAL WAS STEWART AND MCDONALD.... K YA IM NOT GIVING STEWART AND BACKES PACK THAT MY BAD."
It was the exact quote, word for word, just 15 minutes after gloating over his potential second line that actually included MacDonald on it.
