In that case, I am unhealthily addicted to sim sites. ManNHL almost exclusively, but yes. I spend much of my day here, sadly.

out of curiosity, do players that were drafted on this site count for this sign-and-trade thing? I think it would be more exciting to allow people to trade them after drafting them, it allows more hate drafts and people trying to trade for the prospects they want and whatnot.

You have their rights for up to 2 years before signing them to a contract. Trading rights won;t be held against you.

I vote option C, where the players that want to stay SIGN and the players that don't want to stay WALK. GMs will then do what they feel is necessary based on the situation of the player and the team. Accept, adapt, progress. This is option 2. hahah, i laughed when i read this. option 2/3

lol I do admit, I do have trade addictions, my problem is that I am SUCH a mega leaf fan that I try to somewhat do what Burke does, but I also only prefer Canadian players outside of Leafs I like, so I have a hard time sticking with what I want.
Also, I enjoy drafting, so now that my team is how I want it to be, there's only 2 players on this club I'd even consider trading, and one won't waive (I tried, yeah...lol) My team is where it will be for the next few seasons.

Okay, so after conferring with Mikey on this, here's whats happening: 1) Since we (myself included) voted for change, we will change this rule. BUT, since almost all extensions were already done, it won't take effect immediately. 2) For the next few days (maybe weeks), the 15GP NTC rule is still in effect, BUT you don't have to PM me asking the guy to waive. It's up to me to see the trade, and if player doesn't like it, then NTC can be invoked within the 15 game range. 3) I'll gradually start phasing this out (simply by not invoking the NTC as the season progresses - probably after a game or two to be honest) and then we'll just transition into the new way ASAP. Just like you guys, I'm pretty eager to get rid of these NTCs, as they are silly, and a pain in the ass. That said, STOP SIGNING AND TRADING (Leafs - ya fucker). On that note, a toast to Jets, who now holds ManNHL's record for fastest attempted sign-and-trade, at about 2 hours.

JUST under 13 hours. And significantly less form my perspective, as I came on, signed the contract, was out for the day, came back, and saw him in a trade.
