The Head Coach of the Los Angeles Kings continues his off-season duties to the league. The Gary Roberts Conditioning Camp is back open this summer, and while he is under contract with the Los Angeles Kings franchise, Roberts feels his services can still benefit the league as a whole to better the health of the players.
"It's not about me being a coach and the difference between my team and their team," began Roberts. "This is about being healthy, about being aware that your body is a machine, and players need to understand their responsibility in maintaining a good machine."
"It's like a new car. Sure it smells great but you still have to give it oil changes."
The Roberts Conditioning Camp invites three players from every team in the league in a 90 man summer program that teaches them what to eat, how to maintain their physicals at optimum performances, and improves a players ability for skating, strength and core.
"During the season, they will be the opposition, but these guys have played together at some points in their hockey careers since they were kids. We all get paid a lot of money to perform, and we need to learn to take care of ourselves," said Roberts. "Right now, during the off-season, it's about being prepared to prevent injuries."
Teams now have the opportunity to submit three players that will go through Roberts' camp to improve their performance levels for the upcoming season.

Leafs posted a goalie, so you're fine. Also, if no goalies were allowed, who would the players shoot on?
