Starting now (actually a while ago) you can trade with empty teams, via surrogate.
For the time being, PR is bored, and needs something to do. So if you are interested in trading with the teams below(declared empty via Activity Check Poll), you can send a PM to PR (with a specific trade OFFER to a specific team) and he will negotiate with you on behalf of the team.
The teams you can offer trades to PR for are: Buffalo Sabres
Edmonton Oilers
Los Angeles Kings
Minnesota Wild
New York Islanders
New York Rangers
San Jose Sharks
St. Louis Blues
Tampa Bay Lightning
Please put "Offer to ___(team name)" in the subject line.
Again, I want specific offers, don't ask "what for (player name)" or I will ignore it. I can make unbiased decisions if you give me specific offers, but probably not if you ask me to put together deals for you.
This allows you to make offers and trades to these open teams.
Now, the trade still has to be approved by Leafs and 2 other members to make sure its fair, but it's better than what we have now, which is no negotiating at all for those teams.
