I do enjoy this whole surrogate-trading thing, and I hope you guys are too. But I kind of want to explain the following complications so people understand why I reject so many offers. When acting as a GM for an open team, I not only have to consider production, but also the name value of players. Since we are still working on filling open teams, I have to keep some top-name players on those teams for a draw to new GMs. That said, if you are offering for a Pavel Datsyuk, Taylor Hall, or Steven Stamkos, YOU WILL NEED TO OFFER A COMPARABLE NAME BACK. We're probably not interested in a few ok/good players for one great player. I have received some amazing offers that I would pull the trigger on in no time if we were simply going by production in this league, but because the name value is not there, I have had to say no to maintain the value of the open team. At the end of the season, we will once again consider new options with these available teams and again ensure we are still doing what is best for the league as a whole. P.S. Dallas, an under-producing Eric Staal is not enough to land you Stamkos and a 1st round pick, SO STOP OFFERING ME THAT. Hope this helps a little bit.
